Our gastro family

Martin, Lena and, soon, a new team member are the main team in the kitchen at Restaurant Schlüssel. If you add up the time spent in the kitchen in years, Martin is an old hand, as curious and hungry as on the first day! The chef translates Lucerne traditions into a modern language and prefers to write his culinary poems with local ingredients. Jasmin and Pietro round off your key experience with expert, attentive and charming service.

Plan an unforgettable event with us

The historic Hotel and Restaurant Schlüssel offers a unique ambience for banquets, parties and events in the heart of Lucerne.

Dining with Spitteler

At Restaurant Schlüssel, enjoyment extends over several doorways and floors: we serve our creations in the pub as well as in the Zofinger salon on the first floor and in Borromäus Hall on the second floor. There is a lot to discover in Borromäus Hall, where traces of the past are best preserved. Incidentally, a number of "celebrities" have sat at the tables in the Schlüssel: Archbishop of Milan Charles Borromeo, the Swiss Nobel Prize winner for literature Carl Spitteler, and the papal nuncio Giovanni Battista Santonio.

Home of the Zofingen people

Since 1985, Hotel and Restaurant Schlüssel has been the home of the Zofingia Lucernensis, the Lucerne section of the Swiss Zofinger Association. The building is now also owned by the Zofinger association. The red and white coat of arms with the typical compass hangs at the entrance to the Schlüssel. In Restaurant Schlüssel, Zofinger Parlor and a regulars' table with all the members' pub names are reminders of the ownership. The perfect setting to cultivate friendships and celebrate life connections!
