Do you have any questions about your stay at Hotel Schlüssel? We can help you. If you can't find your answer below, there are two options: From Tuesday evening to Saturday evening, the team at Restaurant Schlüssel can answer your questions. At all other times, you can reach the reception of our partner hotel Beau Séjour on Haldenstrasse in Lucerne. The reception of the Beau Séjour is open daily from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. (CET).

Fire protection and safety

Please observe the regulations and evacuation routes posted on your room door. Take the time to read them carefully. There are also fire extinguishers on all floors.

first-aid kit

In the reception station in the entrance area you will find the first aid kit for minor injuries. For serious emergencies, call 112.

Baby cot required

For a one-time surcharge of CHF 30, we can provide you with a baby cot in your room. Please call us if you require a baby cot.

Forgot something

Dental care kits, earplugs, and additional terry cloth towels are located in the cabinet at the check-in corner on the first floor. You are welcome to help yourself at any time.

Lucerne Guest Card

With your booking, you will have received the Lucerne Guest Card by email. This allows you to use all buses and trains in zone 10 of the city of Lucerne free of charge. The "Hirzenhof" stop is just a few steps away from the hotel.

The card also offers numerous discounts, e.g. for mountain railways, museums, and attractions in the Lucerne–Lake Lucerne region. You also have access to the municipal Wi-Fi network "Free WiFi – LUZERN.COM." For more information about the guest card, visit the official Lucerne Tourism website.

Public transportation and tickets

For timetables and ticket purchases, we recommend the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) app. It is easy to use and covers all public transport. Tickets can also be purchased from ticket machines.

Please note: You do not need to buy a ticket for zone 10 (Lucerne city center)! Travel in zone 10 is free of charge for overnight guests. Your guest card is valid as a ticket.

Bicycle rental nextbike

With the nextbike rental system, you can explore the city of Lucerne by bike. Regular bikes and e-bikes are available.

Kindness Bar

On the third floor you will find a Kindness bar with a Nespresso machine and fresh Lucerne water, soft drinks and beer. You can help yourself to everything there, and if you are very thirsty, you can leave money in the cash register, which is anchored to the wall.

Breakfast tips

Breakfast is not offered at Hotel Schlüssel. You can find a selection of breakfast recommendations in the old town on our website.

Room cleaning

The rooms are refreshed daily. A full cleaning with linen change takes place every three nights. If you would like more frequent cleaning, please contact our team by phone.

The tap water in Lucerne is of excellent quality and can be drunk without hesitation.

Currency exchange

The following banks in Lucerne offer currency exchange services: UBS, Raiffeisen Bank, Luzerner Kantonalbank.

The entire hotel is smoke-free. Please use the area in front of the hotel entrance. An ashtray is available there.

Check-out

Please check out by 11 a.m. at the latest. You have already paid all costs for your stay in advance. Please note: Your room card will be deactivated after 11 a.m. on the day of departure!
